370 billion Dongs for a road preject connecting Tay Ninh and Binh Duong

The bridge and road project across the Saigon River connecting two provinces of Binh Duong and Tay Ninh, with a total cost of about VND 370 billion, is expected to be completed in 2021.

On October 12th, Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee started the construction of bridge project, connecting the western part of this province with the east of Tay Ninh province.

The project is more than 800 meters long, of which the road from Binh Duong province is more than 377 meter long while the road in Tay Ninh province is more than 92 meter long. The route includes 6 lanes crossing the Saigon River, connecting DT744 road (Dau Tieng district, Binh Duong province) and Dat Set - Ben Cui Road (Duong Minh Chau district, Tay Ninh province).

Of which, the prestressed concrete bridge is 330 meter long, and lifetime of construction work is 100 years technically. Along with this, a 500-meter road is designed with standard level 3 with designed speed is 80 km per hour. Expectedly, construction will be completed within 15 months. Recently, Tay Ninh province started construction of a route of nearly 13 km with a total cost of more than VND 518 billion, connecting with this project.

According to leaders of the two provinces, that the project put into operation will make important effects on inter-regional connectivity, expanding development space, creating an inter-regional connection between Tay Ninh province and Binh Duong province to Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai, Ba Ria Vung Tau province.

Moreover, when the road is put into operation, it will help expand the connection of key transport infrastructure such as Long Thanh international airport, the North-South expressway and Thi Vai – Cai Mep deep sea port system, etc.
