Ho Chi Minh City prioritize capital to complete connection of Ring Road No.3

The Ho Chi Minh Department of Transportation have proposed the City People's Committee, the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the Ministry of Transportation to prioritize public investment capital for the period of 2021 - 2025 to invest for closed loop of Ring Road 3 at Tan Van - Nhon Trach area.

Ho Chi Minh Department of Transportation has just suggested the City People's Committee to guide the Department of Planning - Investment, Finance, Natural Resources - Environment and District 9 People's Committee to complete adjustment of investment policy of compensation project, site clearance for the construction project of Ring Road 3 in Ho Chi Minh City to catch up with the project progress.

Accordingly, Cuu Long Corporation for Investment Development and Project Management of Infrastructure (investor) - The Ministry of Transportation has planned to start the Ring Road 3 (Tan Van - Nhon Trach section) divided into component projects named 1A and 1B in the third quarter of 2021.

Of which, component project 1A of Ho Chi Minh Ring Road 3 at the section “From Highway 25B to Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway in Dong Nai” is at 8.75 kilometer long and the component project 1B at the section “From HCMC expressway - Long Thanh - Dau Giay to District 9” is at 8.9 kilometers.

For the component project at section 2A and section 2B Tan Van - Nhon Trach and the component project No.3 at the section of Binh Chuan – National Route 22 and the component project No.4 at the section of national highway 22 - Ben Luc (Long An province), Prime Minister has directed the Ministry of Transportation to urgently prepare a pre-feasibility study report on a national important project and submit it to the Government to make report to the National Assembly for investment approval.

After approval, the Department of Transportation will proposes the City People's Committee to send an official correspondence to the Ministry of Planning and Investment, and the Ministry of Transportation to give priority to allocate investment capital of the period 2021 - 2025 for closing the Ring Road 3 of Ho Chi Minh City.
